Product Image is not getting synced in Auto-sync mode

I have encountered a situation, where the client is keeping the product images in a shared network drive. While running the Image sync touchpoint in manual mode, the image is getting converted to Base64 format and it is getting synced properly to woocommerce.
Whereas, the same touchpoint when is run in auto-sync mode, it is not syncing the image.
On further diagnosis, we found that the same user is being used in manual mode and auto-sync mode, but in the auto-sync mode, it seems the ‘user’ is not able to access the same image path, which is creating trouble for the customer regarding uploading bulk images of the products.
Can you please share insight on this?

  1. Hi Aritra,

    What do you mean by the storage drive. Can you give me some more clarity. If you are using proper UNC path, the data should be downloaded, if you have valid privileges’.

    Few things to check :

    1. Path you are using is Valid and accessible.
    2. If you are accessing through the service, make sure NETWORK account is picked and also the Network user has access to the path.
    3. The URL should not be more than 256 characters, because Windows might through URL too long issue in case of such scenario.

    Please give us more input to help you in this regard.

    The problem was because of the network unc path which was not specified. I was using the Shared Drive path as below :


    But as this was just a windows feature and is not available through programming interfaces, the images could not be loaded correctly. I am now using
    it worked correctly.
